From Venue Magazine:

“Club promoters, DJ’s and nightclub owners often have a reputation for making big money and feeding off the fact there are plenty of hungry clubbers looking for a place to party. So finding a club night that regularly gives its profits away is pretty rare – but that’s exactly what Leftism does every month in a function room at Bath’s Porter Butt pub.

Situated about ten minutes’ walk out of town along the London Road, this particular venue is often overlooked, but a night like Leftism means it’s well worth a visit. Admission costs just £3, the drinks are cheap compared to club and in town prices, and the music is a good blend of house, funk, disco and pop – a big mix of everything that’s danceable. And it works.

The dance floor is decked out with vibrant backdrops and UV lighting, and there’s a real party vibe in the place as people start dancing early in the evening. On this particular night, money raised will be given to the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers (BTCV) and, judging by the number of people here, it’s a sizeable donation. Leftism is a well kept secret that deserves to be talked about.”
